  • The Call of Eternity

    Time collides with eternity

    And another friend is gone

    Questions invade my soul—

“Lord, WHY have you taken this one?”

I close my eyes, and it’s then I see

You are drawing my heart to eternity

    Where you are.

    Draw my heart to eternity

Help me believe what I cannot see now…

    Nothing under the sun

Is worth setting my heart upon

    Dreams vanish.

    Friendships fade.

    People die.

    Things decay.

So I will build my life upon

    Things beyond the sun!

    Draw my heart to eternity

Help me believe what I cannot see now

Set my heart on things that will last

    After time is past…

       "A Christian"

           When I say... "I am a Christian"

I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
              I'm whispering "I was lost,
              Now I'm found and forgiven."

              When I say... "I am a Christian"

I don't speak of this with pride.
              I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

              When I say... "I am a Christian"

I'm not trying to be strong.
              I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.

            When I say... "I am a Christian"

              I'm not bragging of success.
              I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

           When I say... "I am a Christian"

I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it

              When I say... "I am a Christian"

I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

              When I say... "I am a Christian"

              I'm not holier than thou,
             I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

  •  Here is a trip that I took on
    March  /  3 - 5  / 2006
    for Joe and Rachel's wedding
    which was on
    March - 4 - 2006
      In Haiti

Wayne and I were asked to be
in the Wedding Party.  It was an Honor.

Food served at a Haitian Wedding

    The FOOD!!!!
It was so good. Notice how they cut
grapefruit and put long sticks in them
and put cheese curls on top of the sticks.

    Haitian Wedding cake

    The Wedding Cake.
I love the way they use there food and
drink as a way to decorate.

The 6 of us that went out for the wedding.
We added Wayne to our load on the way back
plus a bunch of stuff the Bride needed
    taken to her new house.

    Haiti - what a view :)

This is one of the MANY Beautiful views
    we saw on our trip.

We all enjoyed the trip even though it got kinda LONG
on the way out there.  It sure seemed to take a long
time to get there but for some reason the trip
    back went faster....

For those of you who do not know Joe, He
is an employee of International Faith
Mission where I was at for V.S.

  • Hi there everyone,  Well I got "tagged" yesterday so here are some strange, different, or unusual things about me.....

    # 1  I have had the privilege of helping name 3 baby's in Haiti
(I was there when all 3 of them were born  )

    # 2  When I put the wash in the hamper it has to go
DARKS to the BACK and LIGHT to the FRONT!!
(It makes washing clothes go so much faster. When the clothes get to the top of the hamper you know you have a washer full so you just grab it and wash it.  Sure makes it nicer then sorting all the dirty wash!! I have even gotten my Mom and Dad to do the same with their clothes.    )

#3  I am a God Mother to someone who is older then me.
(I was asked to be in a wedding in Haiti. Normally the Wedding party is the God Parents so because of that I am now the  "God Parent" to one of the people getting married.  So I have a God Child who is older then me.)

    # 4  I am a "Grandma" at 28 years old!!
(OK this one is do to Me being a "God Mother"   In Dec/2006 the couple that asked me to be in there
Wedding Party had a baby boy.    So that makes me a "God Grandma")

    # 5  I am allergic to anything that is not biodegradable
(this means that I have to be one of the most "environmentally friendly person" you know.  )

    # 6  I have had Malaria (more then once)  I have also had Typhoid and Dangey Fever.
(all of this was when I was in Haiti on the mission field but PRAISE THE LORD I have a
"clean bill of health" from the Doc and as far as I know I have no side affects or damage from
the sickness or the med's I had to take to get better.   )

    So there you have it...............

    Now I am going to tag "Tagalong14" , "Marthaisatwin" , and  "is_it_friday"

Hope everyone has a Great and Blessed day!!!

  •   HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

  • Hi there everyone,
I'm Sorry it has taken me
so long to give you the
    good news about our
    Teacher situation at the
    "Every Child School"
    in Haiti.
    The Lord has blessed us
    with the funds to hire
    another teacher.
Thanks to those of you who
    gave Money so that
    we could do this.
    I Pray the Lord Blesses
you for your willingness to give.
    The extra teacher
    started working a few
    weeks ago and has
    really been a big help
    to the other teachers.
    Please keep Praying
    for the Mission
    - Thanks.
