On December / 15 I made a Haitian meal for Grandpa Yoders
and all of Waynes children that were able to come.
At the end of the meal Grandpa told me that if that is the kind of
food I get to eat he does not feel so bad for me anymore.   
I did tell him that I normally only have the rice and beans with NO
sauce and the salad I made is only made for "special occasions".

Then on December / 17 I made a Haitian meal for Mom, Daddy, Junaita Riehl,
and Wayne & Dorothy Gail Hunsberger (Dorothy is Moms sister) 
Wayne had surgery on Dec / 16 and the Doc that did the work is from
our area. They were at Mom and Daddys from Dec / 15 - 19.
Please  pray for Wayne as he continues to heal. - Thanks

I helped Tom make "Snowman" cookies for his teacher and class mates.
I think Tom had a little to much fun in the peanut butter
that went between the crackers.           

On December / 18 Mom and Tom took Dorothy Gail and I out for
supper on our way to see the Christmas program at the Fair Play
school where Cheryl teaches (Cheryl is Dorothys oldest child)
We had a good time and the program was really good.

I enjoyed a 2 hour lunch with Heidi on December / 22. (below R)
Anne and Heidi took Mom and I out for Lunch. Our time went WAY to fast.

The "Christmas plate" I made up for Mom this year.
(When Mom was growing up Grandpa and Grandma would always
put together a plate of fruit and candy for each on of their children
and the child would find his/her plate at their place
at the table on Christmas morning.)

I found one student doing homework when I went visiting (L) 
One morning these 2 guys came to school early so the boy on the right could help his friend on the left with a subject he
was having troubles understanding. (R)

Above is a picture of a family that was given food this month from a
love gift that someone sent. They were so thankful for the gift.
If anyone would like to support a family with food for a month let me know and I can get the info to you on how you can do that.

For those of you wondering.
I did make it back to the states safe a week ago today. It has been good seeing family and friends again.
Lord willing I will fly back to Haiti January / 5 / 2008.

Greetings to one and all from Haiti.
I have spent the past 2 days at IFM.
I was privileged to share their Thanksgiving supper on Friday night.
I came down Friday so that I could go to
the Dentist on Sat. I only need to go back
one more time and I will be done with all
my work       I will be going on Dec. 13
which just also happens to be the same
day that I will be going to the airport 
and going to the states for the
Christmas/ New Years holiday!    
Lord willing I will be in the
states from Dec/13 - Jan/5.
Please keep praying for me!!!!

I am on a Mini vacation for a few days. Mom came down on Oct / 22 and
will leave again on Oct / 25. We are staying at BRIC here in Port.
We are really enjoying our time together.
She brought me a card from my "twin".  When I opened it I found that Michelle has sent me a copy of 2 pictures that were taken at our first birthday party. 

On my birthday Mom and I had the fun of just spending the day being driven all over Port-a-Prince just looking at "Haiti" and Mom got to take some pictures that she has wanted for a long time. When she was down here in 2000 she
did not get to see "town" so that is what she wanted to do this time.

  We did do some SHOPPING!!!!! 
Some of it was for things that I need in Soliette but we did buy fabric so we can make look a like dresses when I get back to the states. 

We ate lunch in an open air restaurant. The food was really good.

Rice and beans, fried chicken, and banans. Then a few hours later we got ice cream. O while we at the place we got the ice cream the other two people with me disided that they NEEDED to sing "Happy Birthday" to me.

Thanks so much to one of my friends for his willingness to drive us around town. 
He is also the one that took me to get Mom from the airport and He will be coming in the morning to take me to the dentist (I know what a fun way to end a mini vacation) and then we will drop Mom off at the airport at around 2 PM.

It has been a lot of fun having Mom here. She was able to bring things down that I really needed as well as she was able to bring things to make my 30th birthday special. The time has gone WAY to fast but we knew it would.

Hello from Haiti!!
I pray things are going good for each of you.
Things here are going well for me.
The floor is done in the school house now.

Things have been crazy with all the storms we have had.
But the Lord has blessed with protection.
